Exclusive house parties
What better way to spend your precious time than laughing and reminiscing with friends and family in the beautiful surroundings of Bowden Farm. We provide very flexible accommodation; there are three en-suite rooms with either a four-poster, double, king size or two singles. In addition there is a separate bedroom, ideal for children.
House party guests have the exclusive use of the big comfortable drawing room with oak beams, an inglenook fireplace and comfy sofas. Here you can read, chat or play board games, the time is yours to enjoy. The adjoining dining room with its antique mahogany table comfortably seats up to eight. French doors lead out into the south facing cottage garden where breakfast can be served on sunny mornings.
A typical house party
Meet up with family or friends and enjoy the welcome of a Devon cream tea or for late arrivals perhaps a home made damson gin – in summer in the garden, in winter in front of a crackling log fire.
We will show you around the house and farm and chat about the area and the many interesting things you can do locally. So whether it's surfing and the beach, walking or riding, great restaurants or sporting weekends, there should be something for everyone.
Select the room of your choice; we think they are all beautiful; the Oak room has the added advantages of a four-poster bed and complete privacy with a separate staircase leading to this wing of the house. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding countryside, or just wander the farm fields and woodland, returning to the house to relax in the comfortable surroundings of the drawing room and to book your evening meal in one of a variety of excellent local pubs and restaurants. The time is for you to enjoy.
Each morning you will look forward to our fantastic breakfasts. Don't worry about turning up at a specific time, just let us know whether you're an early or late bird and we'll accommodate you.
At Bowden Farm, we want you to feel free to come and go as you please-treat it like home, after all, that's what house parties are all about. If you'd like to have a barbeque one evening, let us know and we should be able to make arrangements.
